Overview
Asset Track Pro router chassis with 4 built-in GE ports is housed in a 2-rack unit chassis. It features an embedded route processor for control plane operations and a services processor for data plane traffic, along with a carrier card designed to support I/O modules and shared port adapters—all integrated within the chassis. The ASR 1002 router includes 6 built-in SFP ports and 3 expansion slots for additional I/O connectivity. Its embedded service processors provide four levels of system performance: 5Gbps by default, with options to upgrade to 10, 20, or 36Gbps via software licensing, without the need for additional hardware. The route processor comes standard with 4GB DRAM, upgradeable to 8GB or 16GB.
