Satellite/GPS IoT

Overview

Satellite communication and Global Positioning System technologies enable location monitoring and connectivity for equipment operating across vast geographic regions. These technologies rely on satellite-based navigation systems and wide-area communication networks to determine the geographic position of devices and transmit operational data to centralized monitoring platforms.

Industrial organizations use satellite-enabled location monitoring when equipment operates outside conventional wireless network coverage. Remote construction equipment, shipping containers, field measurement instruments, and agricultural machinery frequently travel through regions where cellular or local wireless infrastructure may not be available.

GPS receivers embedded in monitoring hardware calculate device location by receiving signals from orbiting satellites. Satellite communication modules or hybrid communication systems then transmit this information to remote platforms that analyze equipment movement, operational status, and geographic activity patterns.

Asset Track Pro develops specialized hardware designed to support reliable location monitoring for distributed industrial equipment operating across remote environments and international logistics networks.
